Lowered Trucks: tech and info....
Certainly, Helper bags is the solution when lowered and you still need to haul loads.
Anyone running belltech drop 2 shocks and know if they'll work on a 4x4? Everywhere I've seen them listed says 2wd but i don't see a reason the rear of a 4x4 is any different. Other thing is i already have 2" drop shackles on the truck. With drop 2 shocks will they work alright with shorter shackles and allow for 4" of drop? My truck being a 4x4 seems to through a wrench in every time i look at suspension modifications.
Drop shackles lowered the rear 2" but it's still not level with the front. Looking to get another 2"-3" of drop without a flip kit.

so i lowered my truck 2 inchs in the front and 4.5 in the back. Now the rear is bottoming out all the time so I'm gonna go get some belltech nitro drop shock 2's and was wondering where i could buy some after market bump stops

It is not a direct bolt on as the holes need to be lenghtened. Maybe I'll get mine mounted tomorrow. Good luck
I don't see a problem with having a couple PSI in it full time, it isn't gonna help though only make it stiffer.

With this information you can go to any auto parts store and cross reference the shock to other brands if you don't like Monroe. I have a flip kit installed now and the monroes I bought still properly fit without using extenders. I would go a head and install the flip kit and then use shackles to raise the rear to the level you want. It is the simplest and cheapest way to get what you are after if I understand you correctly. Good Luck...
raw ram you are dead wrong you wont be level with just drop shackles, and i haul stuff all the time and i have no issues without a o/leaf...between my 2" drops and no o/l i am dead level but i also plan a 2/4 later this summer...shock extenders are only needed if you dont wanna use drop shocks....got hemi im not sure you are gonna find something with out doing a flip you could always do the flip and buy longer shackles....and btw good luck in otm you got mine....love the street trucks....
Dropping the truck tomorrow!!!!! Cannot wait. Got Belltech Nitro Drop 2 shaocks for all around with a McGaughy's drop kit, but Belltech drop shackles!! Gonna go for a 2/5 if I can since I have different holes I can use with the Belltech shackles. Will get pics if it is not storming too bad tomorrow!!!
