Ram 2500 Quad Cab 4x4 price
I'm looking to get a new 2500 Quad Cab with diesel. The MSRP is $42,680 and invoice is a little over $38,000. I'm trading a chevy blazer (upside down about 1500). The dealer is telling me he's making less than $300 selling me the truck for $40,600. I think he's saying that so he has a reason to not come down in price. What does everyone one else think?

I hate ****ing salesmen, they will say that **** all day. i was haggling for mine back in december and when i had him at 17 for it he was like "im breakin even here man"...then i waited for a week and made a few calls and let him know i was still lookin, so then he calls me and says its 16 now..."just for me"....theyre so full of ****, they will never sell a vehicle and lose money or even break even. they ALWAYS make some amount, and it will definitely be more then a few hundred dollars...And the final price I got for mine was 13,500, with my trade in. (1993 Suburban 170k) Different trucks, but just an example of how full of **** salesmen are.

Call Josh at 800-635-8000 ext 1483. He is in Oregon they are a invoice dealer and this month March $2,000.00 off invoice price. I know this as I am looking for the exact same vehicle 2500 05, diesel with H package "laramie". MSRP was 44,775, I can buy at $36,213 2,000.00 less than invoice. So if you are not talking about a Laramie to begin with call him.
I am in Sacramento, CA and will either rent a car and leave it there and drive it back or fly.

If you know ANYONE that works for a local bank tha does "Indirect lending" (does loans at dealerships) get them to set you up with one of their "Buyers".... they are the guys that talk to the dealerships all day and will always know where you can go to get "hooked up".
I got my 04 QC Hemi for way under average trade in per NADA. I know I actually got it for exactly what the dealer paid because I got to see the papers. Dealership even ran financing through a DIFFERENT bank because their "buy rate" was lower than I could get at my the bank I work at.... and I work in the loan dept.

I went to a Dodge dealer the other day and saw a 2005 dodge ram 2500 crew cab auto/diesel.
It had window price of $34600 on it. When I inquired about it and sat down with the sales guy. I have 2003 chevy silverado for trade in. He brought the paper work after he got with his people and It had $3000 rebate. But he started with the MSRP. Threw in the $3000 rebate. and that got me down to $37600. I lost $3000 somewhere just because I want to trade in a truck? Did he try to stick to me? MSRP was $40600 buy the way.
