coments on this new truck!!!
when test driving new and used vehicles, do the dealers let you smash on the gas and pretty much test what the rides got to offer?
for the record
RC rams are for either people who need a werk truck or for ridiculously cool people who dont wanna get married right now so they can invite 2 chicks in their truck at the same time and since there is no back seat they both ride up with the driver

As far as two chicks- unless one of them is driving, you can only sit next to one of them anyways!
Anyone who is talking about their 2500's outhandling, and outperforming the 1500's, please do come to Oregon, and I will take you in my lower hp 5.9 1500 qc over your higher output 5.7, Ive ran both, 2500, and 1500, 04 qc 2500 w/5.7 hemi and that thing is a slug compared to any 1500 I have ever driven, and our nickname for the thing is the exxon valdez because it doesnt handle or turn worth a da*&. I really want to put this whole 2500>1500 thing to rest because its not the case. They are both built for different uses and different customers needs, so they are both better in their own way.
If the dealership is granting you $15k+ for your 2004 Ram 1500, then go for it. From the sounds of it, there is a ton of warranty left, and at the end of the day, that's what it's all about. I know how it can be with a single cab truck, my brother owns the F-350 with the single cab and it's a PITA. I love the looks and performance of the truck, but it always comes first circle when we're trying to go on a trip, or when it starts raining and all are valuables are sitting in the bed..
Although the 2500 may be a little slower than a 1500 with the same engine, your going to have a four door truck, which your family will love you for. In addition, it's no sweat for you to install gears on the truck, so she will have plenty of get up and go. Obviously your rig you have now is killer looking, and I'm sure it's a blast to drive, probably a lot more fun to drive than a 2500, but sounds like the pros are on your side. Either way, you'll have a nice truck regardless.

well i went and drove it it wasnt a big difference it had the same power i had in my 1500 without gears so im cool with that . it handled allot better , but the seats in the 07 are allot more stiffer than my 04 and im not use to the new style dash. all in all it rode well. but they had told me they went to auction and picked up 3 more rams two 2500's one white!!! so im going to look at that one when they get it also.
overall i think im going to a 2500 for sure i like the platfourm but with what engin now im thinkin??? cause the white one is a CTD lol and they also got a silver one commin but i dont want to belong to that club because bullet will touch me in a bad way.... lol
