Exclamation TBS Install.. HELP PLEASE??

hey guys i ran over to lane automotive today and picked up a throttle body spacer i think made by hamburger? i guess that should have been my first clue that it was a joke. but anyways the spacer is probably only like 1/2" or so and it went right on no problem.. the problem runs in where i have to put the stock air box back on (the box that connects to the throttle body).. this thing will not go back on and be bolted on the right way. any ideas or anybody had this issue and have a simple solution that i'm just not thinking of?? i'm planning on buying a new cold air intake tomorrow since this wont work but at the moment i dont have a way to get back to lane's to pay their high price. i just want to get the thing bolted back up for now.. and how much do you really notice by doing the TBS and CAI on that?

thanks guys

a TBS is the biggest waste of money. They do nothing its just as good as a paper weight. I would say screw it and get a CAI or make one your self like many of us have done. If your interested there are DIY on making a CAI in the DIY section.

Like shark said spacers don't do anything on a dry manifold...I wouldn't use it either.

Yeah, easiest install on the truck ever....take it out of the package, and put it in the bed of the truck. Maybe just try a CAI and a whole new throttle body.

Quick! Package it up and try to resell it to some other poor schmoe. The TBS isn't designed to be mated to a stock hemi hat.
