Thumbs up Painting Project day 1 and 2 Lots of pics**

Ok guys so far so good, I finally got my Paint mixed up and got all the supplies.. Wow the paint with the reducer cost me $208 just paint.. then add up Sand paper 320 grit and 1000 grit lots of it, Clear coat with activator, Primer lots of Self Etching Primer from meijer all in all im up to $313 which really isnt bad considering it will cost me almost $900 for it done at a collision shop..just got threw day 1 and 2 of Taking everything off, sanding and priming Both bumpers, air damn, Grill, headlights and radio bezel.. Its going real good so far but needed to take a break so tomorrow i will be finishing up painting and clear coating after i wet sand everything down.. im just taking my time sanding everything and primeing real good before i start the paint.. holy **** batman, thats alot of stuff gettin painted. show us the end pics tomorrow and i might have to hire you to do mine.....

I hate to question this since you seem to know what you're doing, but is that a color of painters tape I've never seen or regular old masking tape?

That would be Regular Home Depot Masking Tape that im using.. no special Painters tape.. just put a couple layers of tape on the edges so paint wont go threw it.. i also tested it to make sure it would come off easily when all done painting so i knew it wouldnt rip paint off.. this will pretty much prove to everyone that has ever asked, *can you paint your chrome expecially bumpers and Outer grill* im actually really surprised with how easy that front bumper came off.. its just like maybe 8 huge bolts and a few little ones..

LOL, It don't take much to get you to wanting to do something to your rig does it Nick? BTW hows the tint coming? Oh and JJ looks like you got alot going there at one time, can't wait to see the end results

Im on my way over right now to start painting, Here comes the scariest part, im not gonna lie im pretty scared hah.. if i mess up one little bit thats 300 and sum dollars down the drain.. im hopeing ill get the painted pics up tonight.. but prolly wont put all the parts on till tuesday so i can let them dry properly and make sure nothins messed up.. maybe this will be some inspiration for some of you to just do all the painting yourselves.. tell you the truth without looking at silver and off road teacher doing there painting projects i wouldnt of decided to do all this.. so thanks guys for all the write ups and sh** they helped me out alot.. Next up after this im gonna paint my rims and handles.. then comes my System next check.. Woooooo im gonna be pimpin haha yea right
