Default exhaust questions

hey guys, i'm going to be picking up an 06-08 ram in the next week or so and i'm wondering what you guys are running for exhausts

i want to run true duals but i haven't really taken much of a look underneath to know if there's room

so those of you with duals, true or dual exit muffler, what kind of mufflers are you running, what's the loudest, what's got the best tone, etc. What brands did you buy or did you custom make them?

i've heard a couple sound clips of the at3030 and it seem's to sound pretty good, how do you guys think 2 of them would sound on a true dual system?

i have a 07 with the hemi, i originally had a flowmaster 40 series single in dual out straight out the back was pretty loud, sounded pretty good, i recently switched to a magnaflow 12258 single in dual out and it is a bit quieter than the flowmaster but has a good sound to it also. Not sure of the benefit of true duals over single muffler, i do know that magnaflow also makes a dual in dual out muffler also. I had a local shop install mine

i have a si/so AT3030 on mine. i love it. if you really want to go the true dual route, im sure 2 AT2525's would sound pretty killer. you can listen to all the clips of most mufflers on youtube, but it really doesnt do them justice. especially an AT3030

ALOT of people are running a flowmaster 40 single in duel out, (me too) and it sounds pretty good, and loud enough, but if the truck has mds you might want to get a programmer to disable it, alot of people complain about droning with the mds enabled, im going to get my rear resonators removed shorty headers(thats all they make for a 2500) and true duals with flowmaster 10's either dumped or 2 4" tips in front of the rear wheel and yes youtube has lots of sound clips

With mine right now (04 though) it is stock manifolds with cats to an e-cutout to a FM Delta 40 SIDO that goes straight back to tips. When I had thay catback dual welded up the resonator was removed. I love mine but I will be going true duals soon also.

I have the FM Super 40 single in/dual out and it sounds pretty good. But in all honesty I rarely run my exhaust through the muffler, I run almost all the time with the exhaust cutout open. IMO the open cutout is the best sounding exhaust I have run to date.
