I think my truck is leaking tranny fluid

Id bet its that sending unit port that is leaking, seeing how its the highest point of the leak and by the looks of it nothing is wet above that point and everything is wet under it. Is it loose? Did you install it in the summer or winter?

Oh and did you put anything on the threads? It doesn't look like it is coming out of the port where you tapped into but more like the threads thats being screwed into the tap if that makes sense.

i installed it in may. it didnt seem loose but also havent checked well enough since i just got done driving and all the exhaust piping is freaking hot!!

yea i see what you mean and no i didnt. dumb mistake i know ill try to tighten it when it cools how and then seal it later when my dad gets home. one more question how do i check my tranny fluid level to make sure not alot leaked out?

Just unscrew that piece if you can and put some silcone tape on it and reinstall it that will give it more of a seal. As for the level just check your dipstick.

answer dogg he is right . and heat will expand the fluid and if you didnt seal up the gauge theres your problem ...like dogg said

ok yea bc thats is dripping fluid now too. idk i havent done anything besides the rear diff...
