Got a quick question im running the 91 octane tune for my ram now vs the 87 before and i love it deff feel better topend hp and take off power with the 91 tune and 91 octane....am i getting better gas milage with the 91 tune and 91 octane vs the 87 tune and 87 octane??? it seems better but without a mpg readout its hard to tell for sure anyone got any input????
What do you mean a MPG readout? Calculate it by hand, miles divided by gallons. In other words, go fill up with 87 and run half a tank or a full tank, which ever you like. Make sure you rest your odometer. The go fill back up with 91 (93 around here) and watch the pump for how many gallons it takes to fill back up. Write that number down and go look at home many miles you drove on those gallons. So then you divide how many miles you drove by how many gallons you used to find out how many MPG you are getting.
So 87 octane is 92.00 cents a L here so if i fill up 80L that's $73.00. 91 octane here is 1.06 /L so if i fill up 80L that's $84.08. $11.08 dollars difference while i get better performance and its prob easier on my motor as well

yea thats all i was wanting to know just wondering if anyone had the answer for me without having to figure it out lol do you get better mpg with 91 octane????
I got better mpg running the 91 tune over the 87 tune with the Superchips, Now that I have a diablo running their 91 tune Im getting even better mpg than I did with the Superchips 91... Both pen and paper and the overhead mpg read out backs it up too.
alright thanks thats all i wanted to hear i thought i was getting better mpg it seems to last allot longer even when im hard on it....running 91 only has benefits then i guess better mpg fuel price not much diff better for motor than 87...why not
