Default Unlock both doors with one push??

I've noticed something about my ram that bugs me. When i push the unlock button on my key once, it only unlocks the drivers door. I have to double click it to unlock both doors. It also doesn't always unlock the passenger door when i push it twice which is an annoyance. I haven't looked in my owners manual yet so thought I'd ask here first. Anyone know how to change it to unlock both doors at once?

Thanks

I thought that was by design... A lot of RKE's just unlock the driver side first and then you have to press it twice to unlock all the doors the are left

There is some kind of "turn the ignition on/off" multiple times and "press the key fob buttons" method to make the doors all unlock at once, but I don't remember the sequence. I've done it to my truck.

I don't have the answer, but at least it's possible.

check your owners manual.... its in there how to change it. I think it does involve cycling the key.

When all else fails, read the directions! LOL

For security purposes, it only unlocks the driver's door in case someone evil is hiding on the other side of your truck! Then they could get in and beat you up. Unless of course, you are a ninja and can kill a man with two fingers.

I believe there is a way in the owner's manual to change that stuff.

Or keep a .45 on your side at all times.

Is there anyway to change the horn when locking?

I noticed when the windows are down, the beep is real nice and quiet. If they're up, the horn will wake the dead.

Yup, its in the manual. I ended up changing mine so that one push of the button unlocks both doors. I can't remember what I did, but I know that I followed directions in the manual.

On the trucks with the full computer up top with the menu button you can change the level of the horn, the period of time that your lights stay on after locking your truck, how many doors the keyfob opens on how many clicks, and all kinds of other cool things, so even the ones without that computer have to be able to do it, it just has to be done another way...
