I leveled my 08 2wd with the 1.5'' from Daystar. Didn't get new shocks and haven't noticed any difference in driving ability. No "thud" either on severe bumps. Only difference is the much better stance! I like the 1.5'' inch a bit better because the rake is about 4'' and i ended up getting about 2.5'' or so. Now it sits just slightly under completely level, I think it looks great like that.
