Could be bad wheel bearing, brake lock-up or the differential itself. If you got the factory LSD could be a clip wedged in between the ring and pinion (Pyro knows this story). Only by lifting that sucker up and removing some components for a proper inspection will you know for sure.

Remember, if it ain't warranty, don't let the dealer use the same factory crap that just failed you. Much higher end, aftermarket components are better than factory and often much cheaper than the dealer.

My motto: "Always make a repair a mod"!!!

i talked to dealer yesterday and they said should be under the 7/70 warranty. ~glad i paid for the transfer~ will keep posted gonna try to limp it there in am. luckilly its a straight drive with 1 turn. only does it on turning. and under heavy accel. thanks guys. hopefully will be just the 100 deductable. if not gonna look for aftermarket and do the damn thing in the parking lot. lol

monday,
dropped it off dealer said maybe 3-4 days before might have truck back depends on what they find. said they have never heard of a "c" clip failure. this is an odd thing according to them. wanted to show them the forums. we will see what they blame the noise on. im betting rear end shot.

its not 'c' clips. we just say c clips cuz that's what we say. it's actually retaining clips. given the history of the parts, it's damn near 100% that was the cause of the failure.
