the 180* stats for the 5.9L are abundant and cheap. hehe... even the jet performance thermostat for the 5.9L is only $12.99

Lucky. I just don't get how they can charge $35 for a thermostat. They are giving us Hemi owners the shaft .

Old trick, 'Teach lots of threads on it on other forums, many guys have modified the Stant 180 and I've never heard of any issues.

I went with the Jet a couple years ago, contemplated modding the Stant, but then I deduced I would be "cheapin out" on a $26.95 stat with lifetime warranty on a $30k+ truck, didn't make a whole lotta sense to me, personally...

I can see your point but I just couldn't pay all that extra money for something that does the same exact job as the more expensive Jet stat. It isn't even the money that is the issue, it is the principal of them overcharging us so much for a simple thermostat.

Bump from the past

Autozone P/N 4127 is also a 170* 63mm stat = $12

Stant (Advance Auto) P/N 13078 is a 180* 63mm stat = $6

Stant (Advance Auto) P/N 14168 is a 180* 64mm stat = $14
