Go to the autobody store and get the pinstripe removal tool. Looks like a giant brown eraser on a drillbit. works on any kind of glue or 3m adhesive tape http://www.mytoolstore.com/astro/astmat06.html

 

You can get some wax and degresser if you use and a eracer wheel becareful you can burn the the clear and i would not use it on plastic wax and degresser is your best bet or you could wet sand with a 2000 grit and buff it out but same thing has the earacer you could burn thur the clear with the buffer

 

so i just washed the car and the glue ended up shriveling up and so it started to break looser from the paint and i was able to scrape off the white stuff, even pulling some of it off like it was a sticker. but I swear before the glue felt like it became part of the hood becuz it was stuck on there like white on rice.
