the shell is plastic, i asked a dude about paintin it and he said uhh i only do powdercoating and i said well friggin powder coat it than, and he said they put it in an oven and i was like ohhhh gah im so stupid. so that dude is just doing my chrome bumper, just waitin on paint to come in. i guess i just got lucky, i was on ebay and i got one of the black blank ones, than i was cruisin ebay again and this dude had this one for sale for like 50 bucks and i was like hell ya! so in the midst of explainin why i had to order another grille to my wife i had three in the house lol. so i guess just cruise ebay till you see one thats your color code
