Default Air bags and trailer brake controller

On Labor Day i'm going to be towing a 3500lb travel trailer with my truck and I need to get some airbags for the back and i need a trailer brake controller. What trailer brake controller brands do you guys recommend? I found this one on e-bay im thinking about getting http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tab%3DWatching is this an ok one? Also on the airbags what brands do you all recommend cause I see some that you have to drill into the frame for the install and others that just bolt down which is the way i want to go. I know I really don't need airbags or electric brakes for this size load but I just want them so any help would be great!
Thanks

That controller would get the job done. I have the Tekonsha P3. best out there. Cost is about $130 including vehicle specific harness.

As far as bags. I've got Arnott. They use Goodyear bags that are rated for 5,000lbs and they are bolt up. No drilling required. Took about an hour or so for install. Super easy. HERE's the link
Although, 3,500lbs isn't really that much to be concerned about. I tow that regularly, but only short distances.

Thanks for the help dirtydog! I am probably just going to get the brake controller i posted as i'm sure yours is really good but i just don't want to spend that much on one. So you like those bags cause those were the ones i was thinking about getting and its a plus cause they just bolt on!

The Firstone bags are good, but if a lift is ever a consideration, then get the Air Lifts, installation allows it to be combined with either a body or suspension lift...

I dont ever plan on lifting the truck just a front end level in a few months so i went ahead and got the Arnott air bags. Got them for $225 shipped to my door so we will see how they do.

Do you really think you'll need airbags for a 3,500lb trailer? That's only ~400lbs tongue weight and only about 1/4 the payload of a 1500. Regardless of weight, I'd still get some form of sway control for the trailer/hitch.

Are you trying to fix a symptom that you think the airbags will fix, or... ?

I know 3500lbs isn't alot of weight however I don't want the rear end to sag so the airbags would be fixing that problem. Also I will have about 400lbs in the back of the truck. As far as sway control, I all ready have a weight distribution hitch. I know airbags aren't really needed for this size load but I have been wanting them for awhile and I will be towing heaver loads in the near future so I went ahead and got them.

My setup. Tow a BriMar 18' open and a 3600 GTO. (total GTW about 5800lbs) Always have 500+lbs in the bed and have the tongue weight set at 500lbs. You shouldn't need the bags with a TT and 400-500lbs in the bed but it wont hurt. Brake controllers should always be used, regardless of weight, for control. All this stuff took me about 2 hours to install. The Brake controller about 15 minutes. Good luck.
