I wanted to put an Aero Turbine on My 07' ram 1500 w/5.7L . Which one should i get? the 3030xl or just the 3030. Also leave the stock resonator on or get a new tailpipe bent up. Can I install it myself with clamps or do I need to get it welded in place and what does that run for a price? So many questions and options. Any and all input and opinions apprieciated. Thanks

 

im not sure on which aero to get but i would say take off the resonator.. i left mine on for awhile after i got my exhaust.. and just cut it off not too long ago and it sounds much nicer its so much more deep sounding

 

i have the 3030 with no resonator. sounds amazing, no drone at highway speeds. id say get it welded in.

 

What are you using for a tailpipe? Did you need any extension pieces on the install ? My stock muffler is 31" long and the 3030 is about 20".

 

i put on the 3030xl and left my resonator on. it has a very deep rumble, not too loud for everyday cruising. you can always take off your stock resonator if you don't like it.

 

i have the 3030 on mine but i have no cats. my wife could hear me as soon as i pulled in the neighborhood. she would open the garage trying to make a point. i would just tell her thanks honey but i have a button for that. i added a resonator because of my kids. it was ridiculous loud. you could barely hear the stereo. a local muffler shop cut off my flomaster and welded the AT and dumped it for 30.00. when i had the AT3030 put on my 05 welded and ran to the stock location with a tip they charged me 80.00

 

This is exactly what I have on my 06. Love it. Not loud at all while cruising but when you put your foot in it there is a very nice deep rumble.

By the way I think I paid about $170.00 for the 3030XL. Seems like the 3030 was about $130.00. Also, I had mine welded on.

yeah that price is about right i got my AT3030 for 120.00 shipped off of ebay.

 

OklaHemi, you were suppose to post a sound clip or two when you got yours installed. I'm curious to hear the difference in yours and mine.

 

i know, no camera. i will try to get one done in the next couple of days. it is toned way down with the resonator but i had to get it. if i had an extra 30.00 laying around i would take it to the muffler shop and have them cut it off and put it back on so i could get a before and after. i was just thinking about the sound clip a few days ago but like i said no camera. could i get a sound clip with my phone? where are you at in arkansas my job does some work around bentnville and in MO. maybe next time they go up there we could find out in person.
