My Ram vs. 06-08 Ram = KILL
Tonight i was on my way home from my girlfriends and while turning onto M-59 a guy in a 06-08 ram 1500 5.7 hemi decides to make himself noticeable by getting on it a little so i make the turn and half throttle it becuase the light up ahead just turned red. I pull up next to him at the light curious if he wanted to run them, and he sure did...he was revving it while holding the brake down waiting for the light to turn green, while i just sat their idling. I decided to give him some, so the lights turns and i punch it and pull about half his truck on him in the first couple seconds. Coming out of first gear his front bumper was around my rear bumper but i continued up til about 75 and then letting up which by then his front bumper wasnt touching my back. The next light he wanted to go again and the very same thing happened, once we got on the expressway, he didnt try anymore
I didnt even have my superchips hooked up, i returned my truck to stock just the other day and i wish i had it even though it was already a KILL.
This is the first ram i've raced from a stop since i've had my truck, its always been ford and chevys and now i'm curious to where i stand with the other HEMI's around these parts of town.

so, is your pecker any longer now? lol, just playin.
I wonder why you did have that much of a low end on him. maybe brake torquing is a bad thing on the hemi? I know mine likes to bog sometimes in certain load conditions.

I would say it has to do with gearing and possibly LT's. Gearing is everything in these trucks. I ran a 3:55 gear Ram and detroyed him off the line....I have 3:92's
like the eyelids too!
