Default Its a electronic help question

Alright so I have decent knowledge of electronics but I need some help slash ideas.
I am trying to figure out my sound system setup and wonder from those of you who have done something else how you did it.
I am going to be running an amp to power my speakers and wonder if there is a way to reuse the wiring from the stock amp so i do not have to run all new wires to all 7 speakers and also it will allow me to not have to buy a 160 dollar adapter for my head unit just to use the stock amp.

Also does anyone know of a good steering wheel adapter for a decent price the best I could find was for 75 bucks and I really want to keep my steering wheel controls with the new head unit
Also does anyone know of a good place to store 2 amps since i have 1 for the subs and 1 for the speakers any ideas in placement would be great

The amps can go behind the back seat if you have a quad cab which Im sure you do, take the seats out and cut out a small portion of that foam wall right behind the seat just large enough for you amp, then just set your amps into their and get some shallow self tapping screws and screw it down into the back of your wall, that keeps them out of the way and also in a place that someone will be very unlikely to get to and steal them if they can even figure out that you have them there.

2. there is a wire setup that the stereo store that I get supplied from has that has like 10 wires in one cable that you can run from your stock wiring back to your amp to be able to change amps without having to run new wiring to each and every speaker.

3. You are not going to find an interface for cheap, I got mine at half off for $40 and that works there gives me opened products because I buy so much from him, and when you get one, have a stereo store install it, it is the only thing that I have ever worked on that I could not figure out... fyi peripheral is the best steering wheel control interface.

1. Would the amp have a problem overheating with no moving air. And I thought the back seats were bolted to the wall Seems like there wouldnt be a lot but i will check it out and see if thats a path i want to take

2. So this wire runs from the stock amp to the new aftermarket amp or is it from the headunit to the stock amp little confused on that part

3. Do you have the website were you got the peripheral from so i can check it out

Why not just run the door speakers off the amps and the dash speakers off the HU? Assuming you are going to use an anftermarket HU. The OEM Infinity really does suck compared to aftermarket equipment. And you can still keep those steering wheel controls if you want. And to answer your Q on the amps behind the seats overheating, no, they get enough air. I have two back there and never an issue.

You would have to run that wire off of where the stock infinity amp is because you would want to find where there is a collection of all the speaker wires together, and you want to cut out the infinity amp and splice your wires all in together.

Most good stereo stores sell peripheral equipment, and because of shipping you really wont be saving any money by buying it online, and then you might get a deal on install if you buy it at their store.

And I also have 2 amps behind the back seat and they have always done excellent for me, not once have I had any problems with overheating, not even on the 100 plus degree days. Knock on wood... but no, the backseat has hangers at the top and is bolted down to the floor to answer that question

That is what i am planning on doing really is using the HU for the 3 up front and the amp for the 6x9's and 6 1/2's and alright i think i will just be putting 1 behind it and the sub amp under the passenger seat since there is some space but its good to get that info on putting the amp behind there

And just a check that wire allows you to splice into all of the wires from the stock amp and be able to run them off of a new amp correct

You will want to get enough of that wire to run it back and forth twice, once for the input behind the stock amp and once to output past the stock amp.
