Default Lamp out Problem

When I saw the HID group buy from HIDextra, I decided to get myself a set of those lights. Last night, I hooked them up to my truck, but I seem to be having a problem. My right one flickers every now and again. It's starting to upset me. All of my connections are hooked up just fine, and it was running for a good half an hour before it started to do this. My truck tells me Lamp out when I start it, and I'll see it flicker every now and again. Tonight when I hopped into my truck, it told me the Lamp out warning, and I do notice I only have one light on for my license plate. But it doesn't say lamp out all of the time, I didn't have it on once in a 15 minute drive with just my marker lights on.
Anyone know what might be wrong? I'd hate to get a ticket for these lights flickering like that, and also take a chance at killing my ballast.

Did you check the brake lights? Had the same problem but took me awhile to figure out it was the brake light. Wait, which light is flickering front or rear?

It's my HID lights in my headlights flickering. Trust me, you notice when they shut off, my truck also dings my lamp out warning at me when that happens. I did notice I have a license plate bulb out, but that can't cause my HIDs to short out.

Your light out indicator doesnt work on the license plate bulbs haha, the reason why you are having a problem with your bulbs and your lamp out indicator is because you dont have a capacitor to fool the lamp system because HID's run at 35 watts and your normal headlights run at 55 so when your HID's run at 35 it makes your truck think that you have a headlight with a problem.

Caps store and discharge energy. Resistors provide resistance. Can someone please explain why you would want to use a cap v/s a resistor to mimic a filament in a bulb and trick the computer?

thats just what it says on the piece, and I think its because it stores 55 watts but only lets 35 go past it which makes the computer think that its sending 55 watts.

and even if I did make a mistake on whats its called, doesnt mean you have to be a sarcastic a&$hole, you can correct me instead of just trying to make me look like an idiot, or is it just because you dont have enough confidence in yourself that you have to try to make others feel bad about things?

First of all, I wasnt being sarcastic. Secondly, I wasnt trying to be an A-hole. I was asking because I didnt know. Sry if I made you feel bad but youre trying to jump on me for asking a question.

quit crying..... as far as the flickering goes..... my hid's flicker when turned on anywhere between 3 times to 10 times before they light up.... i was always having lamp out indicators before i got my lights... try some dielectric grease it works for me.... also check ur 3rd brake light that can usually be the problem and people dont think about it...

1. you dont know what your talking about if you think you can just wire your hid's right in without the proper parts, because its not going to happen, I put mine in with the right parts and guess what, they dont flicker at all. Now for anyone that has hid's in their newer trucks, all of us have trucks that read the lighting at a 55 watt readout, so with your hid's running at 35 watts your computer is always going to think that there is something wrong with your lights causing a lamp out issue, I dont know if its a capacitor or a resistor, I honestly cant remember perfectly, but that is what you need to fix those problems. So for anyone who has the hid kit and didnt buy the battery relay and the capacitor/ resistor whatever the hell it is they will have problems with their hid's and they will burn out at a faster rate.

And weedahoe, Im sorry, I thought you were just trying to prove me wrong by trying to start an argument, Im originally a 2nd gen owner and am used to the guys back in that forum that think its fun to be in a full on fight online for no good reason.
