Default Daytime Running Lights HID's

So I have a truck that was originally built and sold in canada, so it has DRL's, but I just recently on friday installed new dual beam projectors and bought some seperate HID's for them also, the problem is that I have the DRL's and you arent supposed to run HID's with DRL's... so I need to figure out how to shut the DRL's off, I thought it was just going to be a fuse or a relay, but apparently not because I cant find a fuse or relay for it in the relay/fuse box anywhere!! So is the relay or fuse somewhere else or do I have to do something else to shut down the DRL's?? Thanks all!

How did you make out with it? I am thinking about getting a HID kit myself and have DRL's.
Thx!

I have 6500k hids in my truck. They seem to work great with the daytime lights...
Is there a reason that I shouldn't have them functioning as drls?

I had them installed at the dealership (cheapest place you will find retail to buy them AND install) and they never mentioned anything

The DRL's run at a constant power stream that will slowly burn out the HID's because the HID's are not meant for that kind of power, I cant remember exactly what it is... And the dealership that I went to is a bunch of fu&$ing idiots and said that they need my truck in there shop for a day to figure it out and quoted me at $300 dollars!!!!!!!! WHAT THE FU*#!!!!

That's rediculous! I paid 150 tax in (Canadian) for mine installed with a 5 year warranty on parts and labor (including bulbs), I would have installed it myself but a) I was feeling lazy and wanted it now b) like the thought of having the warranty
