Default Ah my Hemi is sick..

Was having an "okay" day yesterday.. My mom an I Didn't really think it would get worse.. I was on I-95 today going home an left the cruise control at 70.. I dont really speed as much since I got the gps..cause i see how fast im actually going, haha. But when I looked at it, it said 70mph.. then i changed the song on the radio an looked back at it an it said 69,68,65.. So I was think huh cruise control was on.. an I didnt turn it off? I turn the radio down an tried to listen for exhaust an didnt hear anything.. I hit the throttle on the truck.. nothing.. I then realized I was coasting down I-95 an the truck completly shut off.. Then I looked down at my gages an all the lights in the dash came on an my powersteering shut off.. which was a pain in the butt.. So then I pulled off to the side of the hwy an got out to see if any leaks or anything was going on.. No leaks. so I got back in the truck an tried to crank it.. it sounded like it wanted to turn over.. but it couldnt.. I called for a tow of course my luck he was a noobie an got lost.. it took him exactly 2hours and 10mins to find me.. He said he passed me about an 2hours earlier an said "Oh I'm Sorry I thought this truck was a Chevy" Thats why it took him so long.. that really got me. So now its at the Dealership in the parking lot were the tow man left it.. Atleast its under warrenty I guess.. I'm guessing its something to do with the fuel pump relay or something? its an 08 an only has 26000 on it.. Makes me sad to see my dodge gone out my driveway.. its so empty now..

Sounds like your alt. died and lost enough voltage to stay running.

you know I had a similar experience... I was driving on I-35 in Austin college football traffic an my truck died when at almost idle but still moving, I popped it into neutral and it restarted but then it died again, so I restarted it and power-braked it for about half an hour because I didnt want it to die again and then once through traffic it ran fine at highway speed... and it never happened again!?

You be lucky if the mech at the dealership actually finds a problem and not come back with the all too typical "cannot duplicate" answer which means they didnt bother to do much more than plug the DRB in and do whatever it told them to do.

That's odd, they usually die after you turn them off. I guess it mechanically locked up.
