found out the true problem ...its the stearing shaft...it has to much play and looks like it is warn out. i turn the ignition on and turn the wheel from side to side (truck not running) and the sound and vibration (clicking) happen......now is this a part covered under the powertraine warranty???????

found out on more diggin..... its a recal!!!!!! on the stearing linkage....free parts and labor

recal was for 03-09"s you all should check yours BTY its recal H46

Not an issue for you. The recall is for 2500 and 3500 series trucks (both gassers and diesels) from '03-'09 who have had to have their steering linkage replaced after March 1, 2008. The units made on and after this date are defective as good old Chrysler switched vendors to obtain a lower bid...

I took mine in to be checked today, my front right wheel bearing is bad. They are going to replace the hub assembly when I take it in Wednesday. I didn't have a way home late this afternoon, so I'm going to drop it off after work tomorrow so that will have all day Wednesday to get-r-dun. Also getting a free alignment as well. Probably won't help the tire cupping issue, though. Only 19K miles and falling apart already Good thing I got the optional 7 yr, 85K bumper to bumper warranty!!
