I just bought a 2008 dodge ram 1500 with the 3.7 lt/v6 i am looking for a 4.7 crate motor for this year modle truck...i cant find anyone that can give me a price on it except for the dealership where i bought my truck. ($7500). does anyone know where i can find this for a good price. I am looking for a reputable dealer, not a junkyard.Thanks.

Easiest solution is to take it back to where you got it and see if they can get you a ram w/ a 4.7. In 2008 the 4.7 was changed and the HP was increased, so a swap is probably more trouble than it's worth.

 

$7500 for a 4.7? That's pretty intense, I saw someone buying a 6.1L Hemi for that price yesterday..
