Angry lying dealership

I own a 2007 dodge ram mega-cab 4x4 and i took it in to Mac Haik Dodge in Temple, Texas for $2500.00 worth of repairs sustained in an accident. It is now almost 2 weeks later and it is still not repaired. Me and my wife have caught them in numerous lies. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE FOR REPAIRS.

Expand on your story. How did they lie to you? How long did they estimate that the job would take?

The truck was brought in to the dealership on Sat. Aug. 8th & on Aug. 10th i spoke with Mac Haik Dodge, to verify truck was there which by the way they couldnt find. After they finally located truck which was taken over to the repair shop was then towed back over to bodyshop. Not bothering to call and let me know they had found it, it was I that called them back. The insurance company had been notified and was to look at truck on 11th, they did and approval to start repair was given. They were to begin the job on the 11th which was to be a 4-5 day repair, knowing what parts they needed to order they said they had began to take the truck apart. The truck should have been ready for pick up by the following Monday, WRONG !! When I called them Friday to make sure it would be ready they had not started on it yet. Said wrong part was ordered and it was a kit pkg they would need, which is what they had told me on the first day they were to begin job, so why didnt they order it correctly. I notified insurance company what was going on and they called MAC HAIK to ask why. They assured ins.company they were now starting the job, truck was being taken apart at this time. It would be worked on not only today but also sat. so they could have it completed in 3-4 days that we would have the truck ready to pick up Wed. 19th. WRONG !! Not ready again, now telling us FRI. around 2 or 3pm. Ins co. had spoken with them yesterday and was told it would be ready today (wed) and she asked if they were sure and they would guarantee it which they said yes . I called Ins co. and they called MAC HAIK and today was told FRI.

body and paint repairs take time.

the vehicle has to work its way through different processes, dept, people, etc. especially if it has to go through the frame straightener, and/or in/out of body, front end, back to body, paint, etc... if it doesn't sit and wait on parts several times, then you're so lucky you should buy a lottery ticket.

I agree. The story sounds like typical stuff to be expected when you go to the dealer for work.

How is he demanding too much? If they tell him his vehicle will be done it shouldn't be a week or two later. That's not good business dealer or not.

BTW I've had body shops do work for me and the vehicle has been done in less than a week. I've never had problems with a body shop taking way longer than expected so a dealers body shop shouldn't either.
