True but you try hitting a box truck with a car and then with a truck... Lets see who feels much better afterwards...

You agreed with him then contradicted your agreement? Did you read xfeejayx's post? It's irrelevant whether he was in a car or a truck. Your body is still going to go through the same change in acceleration.

 

Your right I did contradict myself... Not thinking at all today... ****ing dealership is pissing me off...

 

Ya funny thing is earlier that day I was talking with some coworkers about how much safer it is to be in a heavy truck or suv rather than a car specifically one of the new smart cars unfortunately my full size truck smashed into an even heavier truck what are the odds of that. Well I spent over an hour trying to figure out where they towed my truck no one had any idea. Going to get my stuff out and take some pictures. One of the officers said it is definitely totaled hopefully they will give me enough money or else I will have to hire a lawyer. Any of you have any experience or advice about dealing with accident insurance?

 

In some ways, it does matter. Some accidents will stop you the same either way. But in some accidents, a car might crumble right away, but a big truck might push a little bit to help absorb some of the damage before crumbling around the driver.

But sorry to hear about your truck. Do you have any pictures of it before the accident?

 

First off, glad to hear you are okay, trucks are replacable people are not.

Was the truck part of a major delivery company? Or at least a fairly big one on your area?

 

The heavier the vehicle the more force it has. If I would have hit a small car my truck probably could have drove away or at least been fixable radiator would probably be shot. If it was a small car my truck would have probably pushed it a good ways down the road but the big delivery truck with dually s barely moved at all and it actually didn't even get that damaged cause it is just a big steel box on a thick frame and the window broken from the driver flying through it. Anyways when I post the pics you guys can see for yourselves.
