thanks guys. the hood is the first priority now and then the bumper. might just end up painting it bc it will probably be the cheapest route...

Why would you buy the piece and then get it painted when you could just get the part you have painted and save the $200?

bc it would be easier to paint the paintable piece i thought? the shop really doesnt like painting over chrome... i found the piece at lmc for 150

Any good shop should be able to handle that little piece without a problem. Hell man, I have no doubt that you could paint it yourself and get great results. All of the other stuff you have painted has turned out really good.

they said they could do it no problem i just thought it would be easier to do it this way. i really dont trust myself to that. and dont want to spray can that part...

If you are worried about spray canning it you could always buy yourself a gun. I got mine for around $80 and it does a nice job.

My first gun I ever had was from HF and it sucked. For some reason it just never worked right. Globs of paint were always coming out of that thing. I am by no means a painter but from my experiience I would say get a gun somewhere else.
