I think I know why you don't like them. It seems the eyelids don't look that cool if they are noticeably added on there. And a white truck will show a gap very very clearly.

But your truck looks sweet. I love your theme so much. I think that bumper as Hoss356 did it would look really cool.

Instead of getting rid of the black grille inserts, take them off, tape off the front of them, then spray paint them from the back side. So you get white on the edges, and it gives the truck a really 3d look. And if you don't like them, you can just take them off, and put the chrome back on.

 

im a fan of the chrome billet grills.

so +1 on putting them back on. but the painting your black ones, idea is great as long as the whole grill isnt black.

Eyelids do stand out but thats the point its like hey look how angry my truck is ehhehee
Def paint the rear bumper now , will finish off the look nicely !

 

its not the standing out, I think it just ends up being too much white. I'm used to seein that truck with other stuff. maybe hood spears, or a black grill shell? I wouldn't take the eyelids off though, just figure out what else it needs to make them fit right in.

 

Thought about painting the crosshairs in the grille shell black. I have to take it back to the body shop anyway cuz i found alot of dust in the paint. It would match the "ram air" spot in the hood black with the chrome grille.
