Default Simple question... I hope...

My dad wants me to tint his front doors...

Before I head off and get myself in too deep...

How do you guys take off the door panels?

I always take them off when I do vehicles... for me, it makes it so much simpler...

And when I do it, I think he's gonna get new door speakers in there, so might as well do it all at once...

there are two screws by the mirrors and then there are some on the bottom of the panel. i think 3 or 4. then you need to unscrew the handle off. lift up and then detach the window/power locks wires and your good

Yeah there is a screw under the handle on the inside handle that need to be removed before the door panel comes off. Its fairly simple to get back on you just have to line up all the tabs on the back side of the panel and you are good to go. Once you get into it you will see its not a "hard" thing to do

I don't know about dakotas, but rams have 5 bolts.

2 on the bottom of the panel, 1 by the mirror/A pillar, 1 behind the door handle, then 1 holding the door handle on (torq bit)

Frenchy, old buddy, do your old man a favor and tint his windows. Tinting the doors serves no purpose...
