Ok, but that is on Engine Rebuilds. Is anybody rebuilding an engine at 100k? Something being worn and something being broken are two very different things. Typlically you replace oil pumps too on Engine rebuilds even if they are still working fine. The logic being they are simply to change when the engine is stripped down so why would you not do it.

Should have expressed myself clearer NV290. On the rebuilds I've read about and some cam changes, the posters made comments that the plastic runners on the cam chain tensioners were very badly worn at those mileages.
I understand the logic you mentioned about oil pumps etc.

From the Chrysler website FAQ section:

NEW CHRYSLER LIFETIME POWERTRAIN WARRANTY CUSTOMERS -- Q&A

Q1: How do I know if I’m covered by the new Chrysler Lifetime Powertrain Warranty?

A1: You're covered if you're the first registered vehicle owner – retail or lease – in U.S., Puerto Rico and The Virgin Islands. This applies to 2009 model year vehicles. As well as 2006, 2007 and 2008 model year vehicles purchased on or after July 26, 2007.

So... An 06' would only be covered if you bought it (or leased it) brand new from the dealer AFTER July 26th 07'.
