Default GPS for 2003 Ram 1500

Hi just joined. I'm looking to install a in-dash GPS system. I was told i could only install a flip face unit. I really don't like that type. Anybody know if and how i could install a fixed face unit? And what I would need? any help would be great. Mike....

Ive got an 04 with a double DIN Pioneer AVIC Z1.

You can find everything in this thread. However, you will need to replace the ******** with the one word "Dodge Talk".

or you could install one of the factory units, codes RB1 and RB4. Upside is it's a plug-and-play affair with the exception of the GPS antenna that goes in the dash. Downside is, they don't play MP3's and if you have the nav DVD in, you can't put music discs in (but it will control a cd changer).

Thanks guys, not sure what i'm going to do. I'm not able to do the custom work needed for a 2-din unit. but i sure like the way they look.

lol, how much you charge?

there is also the problem of having to take a dremel to the supports behind the dash.
