Default HIDs Have Arrived

It was a pleasant surprise returning home from a long three days of clear cutting 5 acres of trees to see that my 8000k HIDs had shown up for my headlights and foglights from HIDxtra. Just wanted to ask you guys if there are any tips I should know before tackling the installation when I get a chance? I can't wait to put them in, my visibility just really sucks!

nice. it goes ballast, capacitor, factory harness. then connect the bulb wires. also do not touch the bulbs with your fingers. u will need a 10mm socket wrench to take out the three bolts on each headlights

Why, did you have a problem getting them out?

When I installed the smoked headlights, I just took out the plastic fender wells to get easier access to that pita bolt. I'm hoping it will be easier this time around since I'm accustomed to taking them out now.

You don't need to take the headlights off just to replace the bulbs.

you're right, but it's a biatch if you don't (I did that three times). The driver side light is just too much of a pain to replace the bulb. passenger side I wouldn't pull out just to replace a bulb.

With the right extensions (that I just bought a few days ago) I can get them out in about 5 minutes.

I never took mine out to replace the bulbs. I went under the truck and did it. Granted the drivers side is tight but it can be done. The pass side is very easy.
