Questions about Changing Plugs on 2002 5.9L
Got a 2002 Quadcab 4X4 with the 5.9L V-8. Want to change the plugs in next night or two and need some help/advice---
Reading a lot of posts from search and is soundslike there is difficulty on the drivers side plugs ??? Any short cuts or tips?
Looks like the factory recommended Cahmpions are the best plug choice. ???
Truck has 72,000 miles (I just got it) -- should I change wires too while I'm at it ??
Thanks for help.

At 70K, you need to change the plugs, the wires, the cap, and the rotor.
Generally, the 2nd genners think that there are two plugs that are acceptable. 1. OEM style Champions. 2. Autolite 3293s- mainly on the ALs they are a different heat range and help with pinging, predet caused by the intake manifold gasket failing.
Even though you are a 2002, and technically a 3rd genner, you might stop by the second gen section every now and then for engine repair/mod ideas.
