Default leveling kit VS torsion bar adjustment

any advice on either one would be great

which is easier?

The T-Bar crank is easier and cheaper. Both give you the same effect IMO, the only advantage you could possible get from a level kit is possibly a little more lift. Thas my and Yes both would make the ride a llittle stiffer because they both put the same twist on the T-Bars.

I cranked my t-bars before putting my leveling kit on. It was like driving around with no suspension. I live down a gravel road at my place here in the country and it was a horrible ride. As soon as I instaled the levelling kit (mine has shock extenders if that makes any difference) the ride felt very close to factory.

Is this going to hurt anything? Are there cons to doing it this way?

Basically just ride comfort. You will learn VERY quickly to avoid speed bumbs!
I would recommend anybody who wants to level their truck to crank the tbars first. If you dont like it you can simply crank them back and do a proper leveling kit.

I drove mine for a year with them cranked, and I thought it rode better then stock...
but I would definatly just crank them, it doesnt cost anything, and when you want to go back down, you just have to loosen them.

Do you need to do a wheel alignment after you crank them?

Does anyone know if you can use a gear puller rather than spend 100 dollars on a torsion key unloading tool?
