I'm with Silverbullet on this on, a silver stripe would look killer.

 

I am so glad I went with the cowl hood, I think I am still the only one with one. Too many SRT hoods on here already, in fact I would be willing to bet there are more non-SRT's with SRT hoods out there than actual SRT's.

 

imo the srt hood or the venom hood would be the only hood i would put on my truck. im just glad i finally found a srt

well i feel like kind of a dumass for not even knowing it was an srt-10 hood. im even happier now because i wasnt sure how it would look, but ive always liked the srt10 hoods so i know it will look good...
now for the silver.... hmmm... you guys always get me thinking...
Options:
1. leave it silver, and add a bed stripe... this would definately be unique, and cheap but i'm just not sure i want silver on my truck
2. paint the silver part flat black... im not sure how this would look, and i dont know how well the flat paint will work. i really dont want to repaint the hood and then not like it. the origional reason i thought this would be cool is beause i have seen chargers with flat black hood scoops, but the rest of the car wasnt black either...
3. have the whole hood painted professionally... since i only payed $100 for the hood, paying to have it painted wouldnt be that bad, but then it would be just another black ram with a black srt-10 hood...

OK... after typing all this im thinking i will buff it out and see what it looks like on the truck, maybe i will play around on paint and add a silver stripe and see what i think. if i cant get the scratches out i will have it painted black

WOW you lucky SOB you found a great deal on that hood no matter what u decide its your truck you haveta look at it but i think if you leave and add a bed stripe itll still look good cause of your rims being silver...but w/e you decide your still one up cause of the price you paid....good find my friend and good luck we want pics when done.......

 

i vote #1 still. if you dont do that have it all done in just regular black. flat black on the scoop part wont look good imo

 

revival.. i was searching hoods and found this posting.. that was the hood i was gonna get.. the exact one you got of craigslist... i saw that posting i was like holy shi! deal/steal..... glad to see a member got it though...
