Default dodge ram weatherstrip

Hi newbie here. I have a 04 ram 4x4 quad and i bought this truck in March. I just noticed that my weatherstrip on the drivers door is ripped from the door opening and closing. I then went to the local Dodge dealer and looked at an 03 and 04 that they had on the lot and both of those also had the same thing going on. Anybody on here have this problem before with your truck????? Thanks

My 02 is really loud on the driver's side as well, I haven't looked to see if the stripping is ripped or torn but I have noticed that in heavy rain it even leaks water now. Mine's at the dealership now if they will fix it let me know and I'll have them get that done for me.

mine started ripping on the passengers side first about a year ago and the drivers side about 6 months ago... I asked the local dealership here and they basically said take a leap, its way out of warranty.

My drivers side door in the same, the top corner of the door kept catching and pulling on it until it finally tore. I hate dealerships and so I just put a piece of black duct tape over it. You cant see it when its closed and barely see it when its open.

it happens only when the wind gets ridiculous, only happened to me once or twice. you won't believe the fix. roll down your window, put your foot up against the inside door handle, grab the top of the door, and pull the MF in.

Thanks Wanderer, thats what i was looking for. I noticed that the 08 has a different seal ,maybe i will see if that seal will fit. Its a lot more narrow at the a pillar and don't catch the door. I have no wind noise or water leaks its just annoying. Thanks Loren
