I'm thinking about making my own hood. You can get a lot of different types of cowls/scoops that have to be welded then molded into an existing hood.

 

well i was thinking about doing it to my truck, just buying a scoop for like 30-40 bucks than molding it on. maybe paining the hood matte black. im not sure on the color yet... i dont wanna tute my own horn here but im pretty good with bondo and fiberglass. so molding the hood on would be a peice of cake.

 

personally its just one more thing to have go wrong in terms
of cracking print through and overall appearance. This may not
be the answer you wanted but save yourself the hassle in the
long run save your pennies and buy a complete hood in the style
you choose and have it professionally painted.

 

i wish i could, but im forever broke. i AM proud to say as of yesterday i finally pulled myself almost completley out of the wreched hole that is known as debt. so if the 'ol lady doesnt bite my head off about buying truck parts... you guys might see the ram start to take form...
