H.I.D foglights
i searched and didnt find much, but i have a black ram with the smoked covers on the headlights and i was looking at getting hids for just my fog lights, because i would like to keep the headlights black, is it worth it to do just the fog lights or not? i dont really want to drop the money on them if its not gunna be a noticeable difference
o and im looking at what would be the 6000k for the foglights
thanks

It's funny that you want to put HIDs in the fogs for more light, BUT you put smoked covers on your headlights, which take away light. Looks are looks, but safety should be first IMO.
Anyway, the HID fogs look sweet and definitely add more light. I am getting the 8000K kit for mine. I will probably end up doing the Hella 500s as well.

EJM, you getting flashed is a sign you're blinding people=not safe. aim your projectors down a little bit, you are defeating the purpose of that projector cutoff by aiming them so high.
to the OP, if you buy from HidEXTRA (forum sponsor, kit shipped for $60) get the 5k if you want pure white.
4300 is meant to look just about exactly like the stock halogen bulbs.

I have 6000k low beam, high beam, and fogs, and soon to be reverse lights also, and those are plenty of light, actually for a better description, they are way overkill haha, but I love it. I just ordered 5000k for my girlfriends volvo, I wanted to see how those looked, I will let you know as soon as I have them in what they are like. Throw some in your headlights anyways, the point of the smoke is to make them smoke when your lights are off, not when they are on, so throw some nice HID's in your headlights also to give yourself some extra light out of those babys. I will tell you 6000k is a great temperature, and I hear 5000k is even just a little bit brighter, but once you get below 4300k you actually start to lose lumens, its higher heat output, but lower lumens output, 4300k is supposedly the brightest it goes though.

so 5000k is gunna be my pure white that im looking for i take it, and yeah i lost alot of lights with the smoked covers but i have had them on for a year and never had a problem with it, just want to add a little more oomph to the foglights because im eventually gunna by black projectors for my headlights and put the hids in those but thats gunna be more in the winter time, so for pure white 5000k,6000k is bright but not as bright as the 5000k?
