Default Hail damage

So dropped the truck off to the body shop today as it went through a hell of a hail storm a couple weeks back. The entire drivers side, roof, hood and passenger fender need to be replaced to the tune of 12 grand. It will be getting a reflexxions hood and full custom paint job while there as well as smoking the leds out. I'll try to get as many pics as possible of it while it's being worked on. I'll be posting work in progress pics to this thread whenever I get a chance.

12,000? Is that dollars or canadian money? That seems like a lot for the repairs. There are 05 Rams for sale around me that are selling for $12000.

Yea it is Canadian. There's trucks around here selling for damn close to that so I'm pretty thankful it wasn't written off. I think most 05's are around 17 - 20 here tops.

12,000 Canadian dollars = 10878.44 U.S. dollars, that's a s***load for repairs from hail.

Why are the repairs that expensive? Is that normal pricing for up that way or is the paint job you getting super expensive?

That's just the way pricing is up here I guess. That is all replacement parts as none of it was repairable. It covers all trim aloong drivers side, 2 fenders, hood, roof panel, front and rear door skins, cab corner and boxside. Insurance will be covering the $12,000 and I will be paying the extra $2500 - $5000 (based on any hidden damage) for the additional paintwork.
