Default light mirror

Hello,

I am marc and I am from the Netherlands. I have a Dodge Truck 1500 2002 imported from Florida usa.

I have a question about the button that is underneat the button of the airco........ I have read in the manual that that button is for the mirrors.
(There are three stripes on it)

At this button there is a led light that flashes the hole time. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Thanks and excuse me about my written english!

Marc

If I understand you correctly your talking about the button under the airconditioning button. That would be for your mirrior defroster.I'm not sure why it's flashing red all the time but my guess is the heating element in the mirrors has gone out or maybe some kind of relay?.

Does it flash or just a solid light? I've never heard of that particular little light flashing.

Mine lights solid as well. Yes, it is for the heated power mirrors. (and rear defrost, if equipped).
I would turn them on for a bit and see if the mirrors start to warm up.

100% for defrosting your door mirrors.
I've never seen or read od the light flashing red.
It should light up a steady amber.................it does in my 03 Hemi.
Hope this helps?
Al.

Same for my '03. I think this button would also trigger the rear window defroster if the the truck were so-equipped. Mine is only off or solid. Never red or flashing. Is the red light in the button, or nearby?

Thanks for the answers.....

The light flashes amber the hole time. I disconnected both mirrors, does not matter... it still keeps flashing. I pull out the fuse. keeps on flashing.

I red in the manual that it was a option for the mirrors. so what you said.

I don't have a rear window what you can defrost.

I really dont know what it is or how I can disconnect it. And it is the same kind of led light as the airco button.
