How do you disable the traction control in the 08 dodge Ram 5.7?

I don't think you can, it is tied into the ABS.

I just got the truck and I can`t spin the tires from a stop by jamming on the gas

That's called torque management and it is in the PCM. The PCM controls the throttle blade and it will not allow it to spin the tires. Mine only has rear wheel abs with no ESP and it wouldn't do that either (unless on wet pavement). A tuner such as a Diablosport Predator will help.

With the lifetime powertrain warranty, these things are tuned to be easy on drivetrain parts.
