Default Vibration Under load?

I have a 2002 dodge 5.3 4X4 Quad cab, It's all stock other then the leveling kit, I have just startd to get a constant vibration felt through the steering wheel only when under load(on acceleration) and it dissappers when i let off the throttle, the vibration is no worse at varying rpm's or speeds. I thought I may have threw a drive shaft weight, but no. Cultch fan is not locked up. and all the fluids are new. I don't mind it but it drive the wife nuts. Any Ideas.

5.3? I am thinking 5.2 or 5.9???
I would check the plugs, wires, cap and rotor. May be misfiring under load.

Sorry,Don't know where i was. It's a 4.7, and there is no vibration in park at higher rpm and in drive with the brake on at higher rpm, only in motion.Going to remove the rear axle, drop it into 4 wheel and see if the vibration is still there to eliminate the rear end and drive shaft.

You may not feel the ignition miss in park or at high rpms, they are usually most noticable @ lower rpms under a load.
Could also be in the driveline.

That'd be my thought, if the vibration subsides when the brake is applied. Applying the brake takes the TC out of lock-up.

On the same note, a light misfire is also greatly amplified through the drivetrain when the TC is in lock-up.

Scan for misfire codes first, then physically inspect ignition components. If there's any doubt, do a full tune-up. Plugs, wires, cap & rotor are a whole lot cheaper and easier than a converter.

How did you check them? If you didn't pull the driveshafts, you didn't check them properly. You very well could have a sticky u-joint. You have to pull the shafts and be able to freely rotate the joints...simply can't be done on the truck.
