Default coil springs

I wanna do this 3" lift right here: http://rough.roughcountry.com/RC%20W...Dodge_363H.jpg

Is there any other way I can get 3" out of the front for cheaper? my friend with an '00 ram said hes gonna get springs off an old HD ram and that'll lift it a few inches. Any suggestions or is that lift the best I'll do for a coil spring and shocks?

You can check out this sight...[http://performancelifts.com/cgi-bin/cart/CSCDX2.html] These ar just taller coil springs however. I just bought rough country's 6" lift and have yet to get it. Before I bought this kit I was looking at the CST kit.

thats weird, on one website its saying that you need the longer shocks or you'll due damage to control arms etc; and on the other its saying longer shocks will cause the damage....whos lying?

Why do a suspension lift , do a body lift, cheaper and doesn't affect you current ride. However all 3rd generation are 3' lifts as well .

I am expecting the rough country kit with the 8000 heckthorn shocks and I will check to see if they are any longer than the stock shocks. If they are the same as the stock ones we'll know that it is best to stick with the stock shock length like CST suggests. If they are longer than stock, I'll let you how much to see if it is really going to matter.

it'll just be easier to put some new springs in myself then going to get the body lifted. plus you have to buy the steering extension which would probably make it more expensive to do the body lift since i would have to pay to get that done, rather than jsut replace the springs. also, the body lift wouldnt fix my problem. im trying to get rid of hte downhill look, with the body lift id just have a higher version of it. so the srprings will be a quick fix and ill let yall know how it affects the ride.

I'm trying to get rid of the nose heavy look as well. I got a 1" spacer (I know it's small) for the front and if that doesn't take care of it I got a shorter shackle for the rear that will drop it about 1". I don't mind if it is a little nose heave looking because when I go to tow stuff I don't want it sagging ***.....

Let me know how yours goes and I'll let you know how mine goes.

I'd never do a body lift on any vehicle over 1". Just ugly to see all that frame....
