Default Painting a new truck??

This is going to sound crazy, but I just bought an 04 QC Hemi 4x4 a couple of weeks ago & I'm thinking of getting it painted. Why??? Well, I got a decent deal getting out of a POS car that I was very upside down on and it was the only truck they had. Anyway, it's silver, which is ok for most, but I only see half a dozen silver Rams on my 2 mile drive to work each day. I want it different as I plan to make it a awesome looking truck that performs as good as it looks. Don't get me wrong, I'm not going for some crazy show stopping paint job, as a matter of fact I just want it one solid color... some variation of dark red. Does anyone have any idea how much a good professional paint job in N. Cali would cost on a truck like mine? Something that'll last a LONG time, look d--n good, but not cause me to go bankrupt. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Remember, you get what you pay for. My dad had a group paint my S-10 for around $300 as a present for earning my Eagle Scout rank. They painted OVER the front turn signals. Took me a few days to figure out why everyone was honking and yelling at me when I turned.

A body shop told me that to Paint the top half of my pt cruiser it would cost me $2800.00 It's bright Silver. So I got a Burgandy red Carsen top for $900.00 instead. By the way red and silver really look good together.

I totally agree on the red and silver, but it needs to be the right color of red. I did some stripes on a Viper a couple of years ago and before I started I let the owner look through the book with all of the colors and he picked out the red you see in the picture, at first I thought it was going to look horrible, but after I laid them on the car, I knew that he had picked the right color, they looked awesome. I have even thought seriously about doing the same color stripes on my HEMI because I know I would be the only one in town with them, but just havent commited to it. Plus I dont get paid to put them on my own vehicles...

I do like that combination of colors on the Viper... I was also thinking of maybe adding some sort of graphics kit, but it blue instead. I don't want some street racing 4 banger graphics and I want the truck to still look respectable for when my wife gets her real estate license. She can't really show up to try to sell a house in a huge abnoxious truck, but that doesn't mean it can't look really nice. Yes, she drives the truck primarily as I use my 82 Toy 4x4 to drive back & forth to work. It is also a work in progress... and much cheaper to upgrade right now.
