I want to but last time I painted my rims on my black jeep they didnt come out as good and started to chips and yes i did it right. I rather have them powercoated black so there nice and wont chip and be rock hard.

Powdercoat will be less likely to chip if you are rough on your rims, that is for sure but painting is a nice low cost option. I did mine just about a year ago and still have no chips. Granted, I don't do any off road driving but I have spent a year of daily driving and I have not had a single problem with my painted rims in all that time.
I was gonna' get the OEM rims on my '05 Dodge Ram Daytona powdercoated black, but found out it couldn't be done due to the rims being chrome clad plastic over aluminum alloy.
