Should i avoid a 4.7?

Regardless of problems. i would pass on a 4.7L unless it was the newer revamped 4.7L. The old 4.7L's just don't have enough power IMO. That right there is a huge turn off, especially when your talking about 100hp and getting the SAME gas mileage. No brainer there.

I have the 2008 4.7 and it is very suitable for the truck and have had no issues with towing and hauling.

i would pass on an older 4.7 automatic, but i'd also pass on a hemi automatic too. sorry but for all those that treat their hemi like it's a race car.. come see me somewhere between ooo 70-100k miles and tell me all about ur auto transmission rebuild after the 545rfe took the ultimate dump....

worst case scenario my g238 will need a new clutch by then....
