Default Diablo tune assurance..lol

Alright fella's. been running my truck on the DSP 91oct tune and pouring in 93oct w10% ethanol. I tow ALL THE TIME. I have always ran this tune and it's never given me any issu'es.

Any insight to why i should not be running this tune? it's the stock canned 91oct.
I have a K&N drop in filter w/Airaid MIT tube, JBA shorty headers and a Magnaflow catback.

This tune is something i have never went back and tried to change or alter. Any ideas or thoughts of what should be done? I've altered the partial upshifts and that's about it.
Thanks

Dont they have a 93 tune on the DSP or is that what you are asking, if you should run the 93 tune or stick with the 91? I have only ever ran the 91 because thats all we have out here. Personally I have adjusted my Partial up/down shifts, WOT shifts, Rev Limiters, Speed Limiters, Idle adjusts and am very happy with the results.

Partials....just went out and checked
Partials 1-2
10%....2200
20%....2550
30%....3250
40%....3550
60%....5100
Partials 2-3
10%....2250
20%....2500
30%....3250
40%....3500
60%....5100

I wouldn't run the 93 tune period. Not ever and cerainly not towing. Actually I was windering if the 87/89 tune should be used. Whatever it is 87 or 89?

Oh okay gotha, I really cant answer this one then, I dont tow anything and really have never used anything other than the 91 tune in my truck.

For the partials, I think mine are set a bit higher/lower in some areas but I'd have to go check where they are now, I have adjusted them so many times in the last month trying adjust for the converter.

^^^ That can be a bit tricky!

My problem is finding a happy middle for empty to towing 5,000lbs.
I can't have the truck lagging and racing through the rpm's when i'm towing and at the same time I don't want neck jerking shifts when I'm empty.
I think it was Silver that pointed me in the right direction on the shifts.

Truckin, the problem is no Partial downshifts which would be the cats meow....lol

Why not? I run the predator with the 93 tune and tow a 25' boat all the time. No issues. And before you ask, I monitor AF, KR, trans temp, and coolant temp in real time with my aeroforce gauge. I have never seen any knock and my AF stays perfect then entire time.

i just switched from the 91 tune to the 89 to see if i liked it or not. i dont. feels like a dog compared to the 91. dont have near as much passing power on the fwy as i do with the 91. but i do get like 1 mpg better mileage.
