Default New Tow Hooks (2005 1500) "Blah Mopar"

Well, I decided to not go with the standard Mopar tow hooks for the 1500, so I opted to make some of my own. These were simply made with 1/2" steel plates welded to a set of 12" receiver tubes that were cut down. Once welded, they were bolted to the front of the frame horns with the existing 4 bolt holes that were there. Another piece of 1/2" steel was used as backing plates as added protection with the grade 8 hardware already used. I pondered this idea for a while, since I had a similar setup on my Blazer ZR2. This is much stronger than that setup, so I know it will hold plenty. Here are the crappy pics.

Thanks. They stick out a hair, but I wanted to be able to take them out whenever I wanted to. Never had a problem with them on my ZR2, so this setup will definitely be an improvement over that. Just wanted the function aspect of it.

Good job... I basically lost my tow hooks when the grille guard and winch mount went on, so I drilled a couple holes in the winch mount plate and put in a couple grade 8 U-bolts. Connected a couple clevis' and had my anchor points back...
