I have an 04 Ram 1500 quad cab 4x2 and the passenger door won't open from the outside. Opens fine with the inside door handle. The outside handle appears to be dead. I popped the door panel and looked in with a mirror and it appears the rod and cam are being actuated but it won't pop the door. Could be some little tit or cam that is broken or maybe something just came loose.

Anyone out there experience this? Fix?

probly have to replace the latch mechanism if there arent any rods that have come loose.

 

Latch mech cant be it if you can open it from inside but not outside. Go back and check the rods and make sure BOTH ends are attached.
