Default Velocity intake install

Finally installed my intake the only thing that sucked about it was you have to drop the passenger side fender well cover to install the box for the intake other than that it went pretty smooth.
I took it for a test drive after I reset the computer and of course it was way louder(sucking air like crazy)and the butt dyno felt a difference also.
Here are some pics.

Nice, glad you like it. If you want an open filter intake the velocity and other mopar knockoff's are really the best value. The only problem is that mouning bracket on the filter end of the tube tends to break.

I didn't have any problem with the bracket,it looked pretty sturdy to me,how do they break?

They break where it attaches to the tube. I guess since it's aluminum and the little bit of movement the intake experiences when your driving moves it back and forth until it just breaks. I have the spectre which is made for the hemi and costs twice as much as the velocity, on it they just moved the bracket to the bottom of the intake so it mounts to the bottom of the heat shield. It's not something to worry about as the thing really isn't going anywhere even when it breaks and plenty of people have rigged up a new bracket who had the same intake.

Oh so basically it's the movement of the intake is what causes it to break, hopefully it doesn't happen to me.

That is a nice looking intake and you can't beat that price.

Your right the price is killer for what you get and of course it is loud like I wanted it to be.
It works very well with all the other mods I have.
