Prep work continues......
This is my little prep work station (ha ha)
1 wheel is ready to scotch pad and tact cloth, then on to paint.
the other 3 are halfway there.

Hopefully have em painted and on the truck next week, or the week after!

im using 320 to get rid of the corrosion buildup that was starting under the clear coat around the old wheel weights and the backside of the wheel. Then using 400 grit wet and dry (using it wet) on the face and lips.
Then doing another de-greasing and going over with scotch brite pad to give the paint a surface to.... then tact cloth, and paint.

I read your post about your wheels....but I have a PRO painter that I discussed it with, and aluminum does not need etch primer or filler, I was going to go that route but I trust his expertise of 30yrs and after the sanding is done, I will degrease again, scotch pad and tac cloth, then paint, and clear.
Im usuing the Mopar spray paint cans of my color and some off the shelf clear spray paint
